I am Alex Joseph, a Mechanical Engineer turned Data Scientist dabbling in Data Architecture. This page is an attempt to write about things that interest me.
From my graduation in June 2011 till September 2021, I worked with a startup called VIMANA. Vimana is a manufacturing data analytics platform, and I was the first Data Scientist in the company. At Vimana I built the Data Science pipeline, before eventually moving to Data Engineering of the core data pipeline which handled > 20 Billion events a day at its peak.
VIMANA engineering team was eventually acquired and with this acquisition, I’ve moved to a larger firm, HBK – Hottinger Brüel & Kjær. Currently I’m a Data Architect, focusing on bringing disparate data products in the enterprise under the same roof
